Anime are at their best when they wrap up their season and about to invest into something new. This, along with the season lineups’ announcement, can get any fan thrilled for what might come in a few months. With the recent report of their Fall simulcast lineups, both Crunchyroll and Funimation have done just that to kick off the Fall season. We can expect to see some of the classics return while some new shows might prove to be as good as the old ones.

The seasonal lineups are headlined by the return of some of the cult-classics. With the anime Burn the Witch and the Inuyasha series spinoff Yashahime: Princess Half Demon, Tite Kubo, the creator of Bleach, makes a return. Since October 3, Yashahime has been available for streaming on Funimation while on October 1, the much-anticipated Burn the Witch three-episode series was released on Crunchyroll. While both of these shows have an advantage of attachment to popular anime series, there are also ones that are making their debut and deserve the attention and hype they are getting.

Jujutsu Kaisen and Noblesse, released on Crunchyroll, are an anime adaptation of very well-known comics. Jiu Jitsu Kaisen is a very rare manga without an anime adaptation ever after being one of the top 10 bestsellers weekly. The show recounts the story of a young high school student who has to fight supernatural beings after he ingests a cursed finger. One the other hand, we have Noblesse, which follows a vampire who has been awakened and turned into a high school student. The show explores his life as he adapts to the modern world and fights the antagonist.

If we look at shows making a comeback, then we have Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Two other top-rated shows are soon going to be released on Crunchyroll, one of them is the well-known volleyball anime Haiykuu!: To the top and the other one is Golden Kamuy. Funimation also has some exciting shows that have recently made their debuts. The murder mystery Higurashi: When They Cry was released on October 1 while Akudama Drive came out on October 8.
