In the past few months the world has witnessed enormous changes due to the pandemic released upon us labeled “Covid-19”. The impact of the virus has left every industry ranging from agriculture, textile to hospitality doomed.

Resulting from this, the masses must contemplate and understand that the DNA of the Fashion Industry must change. A change that was long due.

The customer needs to make a right choice at the register. One needs to buy less and invest into quality rather than indulging into fast fashion and big brands. Fashion needs to slow the pace and consumers need to think out of the box. Keeping both environment and sustainability in mind. Tons of textile waste plays a role in the industrial waste, because of our impulse to diving into fast fashion. Instead we should enrol into a more sensible and balanced fashion needs. Genuine, organic brands are the need of the hour, which serve a purpose and hold a mission.

“Investment pieces” are those pieces which are considered timeless irrespective of the fashion trends. Made with top quality finesse and have no age or limit. They can be styled differently, worn on different occasions and perhaps last forever. Covid or no Covid, wardrobe staples require much more focus. Rather that splurging on fast fashion trends that come and leave a hole in the pocket. These can never be worn again and contribute to the textile waste. A classic white shirt; fitted pair of jeans; a cotton suit or plain jutti’s, or a tan bag; no matter what, they withstand time and trends.
